Remembering The Extinct Birds(Hawaiian Honeyeaters)

You can guess what this post is all about from the title. This is about birds that have gone extinct. Here are some of them,from the Moho Genus of Hawaiian Honeyeaters:



Moho apicalis(O'ahu 'O'o),Extinct Since 1837:

Moho Bishopi(Bishop's 'O'o),Extinct Since 1904:
Moho nobilis(Hawai'i 'O'o),Extinct Since 1934:Moho braccatus(Kaua'i 'O'o),Extinct Since 1987(?):



Chaetoptila angustipluma(Kioea),Extinct Since around 1859:
There is some mystery surrounding the cause of extinction of all of the Moho genus('O'o's),and the cause of extinction is not known for the Kioea.In fact,most Hawaiian natives didn't know that the Kioea existed!
